Hokkien Mee or known as Penang Prawn Noodle is one of my favourite Penang food, I love the taste of soup with prawn taste and a little bit of spicyness and salty. Delicious! Today is Wesak Day and it’s a public holiday for me. Woke up pretty early in the morning even though I slept at 3am last night, I went to prayers and later then mom brought me to breakfast near her office.
Talking about this Hokkien Mee stall, it’s located inside Goodall Cafe which is just right opposite of Penang Chinese Girls’ High School. It’s one of the few stall that start selling early in the morning. The Goodall Cafe is actually very happenings at night but not in the morning. It’s only the students from the opposite school wanders around in the morning and people from the surrounding neighbourhood and offices.
The only food I eat there in the morning is the Hokkien Mee. Never tried others before. It’s Hokkien Mee all the time to me.
Just for RM3, it served in a big portion, I did ask for extra ingredient, but I don’t want that man add for me. Usually I will ask for the pork ribs, unfortunately that guy didn’t bring in any today. Adding pork ribs makes the soup taste better. Trust me. It doesn’t taste very spicy as it is just good to eat.
