Beside the old Police Headquarter in Penang Rd, there’s a mamak coffee shop that opens till midnight. Do you know the old Majestic Cinema? It’s where the coffee shop is. My friend took me there one night to eat supper and he ordered fried Maggi noodle (fried instant noodle) with egg for me. It’s fried in tomyam style, a bit spicy and very nice. If you got nothing to do at night, can go eat fried noodles there.

Surprisingly, the chicken rice in Bangkok was quite nice and in fact, it’s different style of chicken rice than in Malaysia. The chicken is whiter which compare to Malaysia’s which is yellower. Serve in a big proportion for a 4 person meal, the chicken rice itself is nice too, not very soft nor hard.
One thing special about it is they gave us a lot of this kind of sauce, it’s not actually chilli sauce, it’s a bit sweet, spicy and sour. Taste good when it with rice. =)
I was in Bangkok last week and the first day I was there, I went to for a buffet lunch at my hotel, Emerald Hotel. It’s 550baht (approx RM55) per person and there’s quite a lot of Japanese food to choose from. The most worthful food to eat there was the fresh oyster and salmon sashimi.
I ate a lot of those and luckily I didn’t puke it out, love them a lot. It’s a Japanese restaurant call Daichi Restaurant at Emerald Hotel, Bangkok. If you get a stay there, check out the buffet.
Fresh juicy big oyster. I never had such big oyster before in Malaysia.
Dad took the raw prawn to the tepanyaki section to pan fried it, it’s big too and same juicy. Damn nice man!
