Singapore Hainan Chicken Rice at Kovan

Kovan is a a place in Singapore on the east coast. My brother told me that there’s a nice Hainan chicken rice at that area and he decided to bring us to try it out. The chicken rice stall is located in a food court near Heartland Mall at Hougang on Upper Serangoon Rd. You can take the MRT and get off at Kovan station and look for the food court beside Heartland Mall. =)

I like the chicken, I like the rice and I like the sauce on the chicken. We ordered a whole chicken and I ate almost half of it because of its tastiness. The sauce is not typical soy sauce but mixed with a little bit of oyster sauce and it’s not so waterish.

Good try in Singapore.

    This chicken rice stall SUCKS big time!!..just because they got a bloody long Q for the chicken rice, does not mean they dun provide good customer service. At one time i told the uncle : uncle, could i have chicken wings meat instead of the normal meat? GUESS WAT? The uncle quite nonchalantly and with the nose up his ass said : sorry, u CANT chose the chicken parts! when ur turn is the tighs, u take the tighs! WAHPIANG!!!?? LIKE THAT ALSO CAN?? I CANT CHOOSE WHAT I PAY?? GO FLY KITE LA!!..i wonder why its still damn long Q…ppl still patronising this stall?? its not that THEIR CHICKEN IS FANTASTIC! I HAD EATEN BETTER ONES!..THATS my 2cents encounter with this “u cant chose” chicken rice!!!!
