Istanbul cone ice cream at Istanbul Cafe, Pavilion
Dec 17th, 2008 by Nicholas Chan
On the 6th floor, the dining floor of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, there’s a lot of International cuisine restarant. One of which located near the centre area is the Istanbul Cafe.
I was curious about the 3 bucket of don’t-know-what’s-in-it in front of the little classy cafe, brother told me that it’s ice cream in it. In Singapore, there’s real Istanbul people, carrying 3 bucket and a stick and sell the ice cream in front of the crowds. In the mean time, they are like playing with the crowds, making a street performance with the stick and the ice cream. They swing the stick with ice cream on it, round and round, up and down to shows that the stickiness of the ice cream.
We thought that it’s the same here in Pavilion, but it’s just ice cream. For the curiousity, we paid RM4 for the vanilla flavour and I’ll say McDonald’s Sundae Cone is still better. Though, there’s still something special about it, it does not fall when it’s upside down.
