Hey people that you think you have already miss the 50% Off on all Frappuccino during happy hours (5pm-7pm) on the past few days, no worry because it’s still ON until 6th May 2011! It’s on WEEKEND only which means there’s still 6 more days including today! =)

I went to the Starbucks Coffee in Taylor’s University 2 days ago and there’s really so many student buying it. Do buy Venti size as it’s more worth and keep asking the Barista for you drinks because they might forget your order.

Ok, Chatime is a brand for Taiwanese bubble tea. The Original Milk Bubble Tea is awesome, the taste of the milk tea is strong and the bubble is, err, bubble. That’s all. People are crazying about it, Foursquare check in at Chatime, post photo of Chatime on Facebook and tell people about them having Chatime. Do you think it’s nice? I think it’s nice, but it’s expensive, RM5.50 for the Original Milk Bubble Tea, yet I don’t think it’s the best yet.

I believe there’s still huge variety of bubble tea out there, it’s just that the brand that makes people go crazy about it. The recent outlet at Sunway Pyramid makes people queue up long and long. I wonder why there’s no long queue at Pavillion’s outlet or the two outlet in Penang (1st Avenue and Queensbay Mall). I think the queue is due to the inefficiency of the staff. =D

And there will be one opening in the basement of Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens.

Chatime rocks, but I want RM2.50 pasar malam bubble tea more. =D Happy Chatime-ing.

One more thing, I tried two Chatime in Hong Kong before, the bubble jelly of two stores tasted different.

I Love Ikea’s Cheap Hot Dog Meal

P1050356

Funny or not that I just know that Ikea Malaysia has such a low price meal which I super like and love! Unlike the RM10 for 10 meatballs in the canteen inside Ikea, this is Ikea cafe right outside the cashier counter, a place to chill and have some light meal before going home or proceed.

  • RM2 for a curry puff and a bottomless soft drinks.
  • RM3 for a hot dog bread and a bottomless soft drinks.

Where on earth you can find this combo besides Ikea? Even kopitiam is charging RM2 for a can of soft drinks and bakery is charging for RM2 for a curry puff. Ikea rocks man!

After a little shopping at Ikea this afternoon, I bought a combo of curry puff and softdrinks for RM2. I was too hungry and then I add on a hot dog bread and another curry puff. With the bottomless softdrinks, I was full. =)

It’s just yum yum, deliciously low price. Claps for Ikea.

Happy New Year! What a lovely new year. 2010 is over and 2011 is here and which means more food are coming! So on the New Year’s Eve, I went to Straits Quay. I was with my dearest Hueisean that night, but a little bit tight on budget. Was checking out all the restaurant, some need to wait for an hour, some offering only-New Year’s menu and they are over hundred bucks. In the end, we went to queue half an hour for Secret Recipe.

It’s New Year’s Eve and it’s people everywhere!

After waiting for half an hour, finally it’s our turn and we made our order. They some more told us that the serving time is about 30 minutes. Since it’s New Year’s Eve, so I forgive them for the slowness. Hehe.

I ordered a slice of New York Cheese cake to be our appetizer because we were so hungry already. There’s a little layer or chocolate at the bottom. Wonder is cheese cake in New York made this way? Though it’s delicious, but it’s not nicely cut into slice and served. The food presentation suck a bit. Haha. We didn’t care so much already because of HUNGRY.

Then the ice blended chocolate came next, with nice cream on top and I have nothing much to say about this. Yummy beverage. I love chocolate and chocolate makes people happy! =)

Well, my main course for that night was a chicken lasagna. Hueisean couldn’t eat beef so it’s chicken. I didn’t know what’s the bun for, is it to eat with the lasagna? I didn’t really eat out at Secret Recipe before nor eating a lot of lasagna but to me, I felt it’s kinda nice.

Although the lasagna is good, I prefer the chicken cordon bleu ordered by Hueisean, it’s a better one IMO. Surprisingly, it’s as good as JF Western Food’s, in fact, I felt it’s better. I can actually feel the melting of cheese and ham in my mouth. This is awesome.

After having our meal, we payed and we went out to countdown because there’s still many people queuing up for food and we are good people. Haha.

What do you think about Secret Recipe? Any recommendation besides cake which they are famous for?
