I guess it had been like ages that I have not had any in-flight meal which comes on a tray. Although I have been travelling around South East Asia, it were on AirAsia, the budget airline. Where would one provide you food when you pay so little for air fare? I heard that the Nasi Lemak selling on AirAsia is nice, if I got a chance, I must give it a try.

My last long distance travel was like during my Primary School’s Standard 3 which is 8 years ago. Well, I am not that rich to go travel so often, mostly is just around South East Asia, our neighbouring country. Say no to Europe, America at the moment. Parents asked me to save for it if I want to go travel.

Sometimes, people will say “Who would like airplane food? It’s pre-cooked and reheat when wanting to serve.” Seriously, I gotta say that I like it. Maybe it’s the hungryness that made me think that anything is nice, but seriously, it’s not that bad.

In Flight Meal

On the first flight to Hong Kong from Penang, I was served omelette and sausage. I loves eggs. It was pretty good, with lots of fillings, corns, ham, vegetable and salted egg. It’s a very healthy breakfast or you can say that it’s a balanced diet meal which consist of the omelette itself, bread and butter, fruit juice, fruits, and a yogurt. All of the carbo, protein, calcium etc etc you need is there.

In Flight Meal

It’s different set of food when we were on the flight back home to Penang. Flight attendant asked me whether to want a chicken rice or a spaghetti. I picked the rice. I thought it was like our local Hai Nan chicken rice but actually it’s not. It’s chicken, with rice and vegetable. Haha. Still, there is a cinamon roll, fruit, and with a ice cream. Yeah. The portion of the food was pretty small, maybe it’s because it’s tea time and they tend to think that we had our lunch and were not that hungry.

Do I miss the food on plane? Well, of course a little bit, but I miss Hong Kong’s food more!
