Some days, I stayed after school for lunch before mom fetching me home. School dismisses pretty late at 2pm and my parents can’t wait for me for lunch sometimes, they are hungry. So, I’ll just stay in school, spend about 10-20 minutes for lunch and only get home after that.

Some other days that I have lunch in school is when I got to stay back for cca meetings and activities.

My lunch that I eat in school is almost the same everytime, it’s only either rice or Java noodle. It’s because Java noodle is the only stall that gives the largest portion than other food for just only RM1.50. As for rice, it’s only RM2 for 3 dishes and a rice, if I ask for fried chicken, it will be adding another Ringgit into it. I seldom order fried chicken because I can use the extra Ringgit to buy 2 fried eggs, sausage, nugget or a fish ball soup.

For just RM4, you can get a few dishes and it’s enough for me. I had a very unhealthy lunch today because my meal doesn’t consist of any vegetable. It’s chicken (RM1), lobak(RM0.50) and nugget (RM1). Rice is RM0.50.

Mostly, I spend less than RM5 on lunch, include after meal food, like sausage, fried wan tan etc etc and a drink. Pretty cheap right?

This economy rice stall is very crowded during normal recess time and I don’t really eat for breakfast as I am so lazy to get into the line, only if when there’s less people. I still see old Chung Ling boys like my dad going back to school for lunch. Dad told me that for so many years, the dishes are still the same. I guess they need a change, or add new choices. =)

Find someone that is old Chung Ling boy or current Chung Ling boy and ask them to take you in to makan (eat)!
