The Broadwalk is the commercial block of Taylor’s University, my school currently and my hostel is located above The Broadwalk. Recently, Starbucks Coffee opens their outlet here at The Broadwalk like last week and I went to check it out. I am a fan of Starbucks Coffee but I just don’t feel like spending 15 bucks on a cup of coffee. I am poor. Haha.
Located clearly on the corner of the commercial block, The Broadway, it’s Starbucks’ strategic position.
One special thing about this Starbucks Coffee outlet is that its space is like larger than any other Starbucks that I have been to. It’s really spacious and have lots of chairs and table.

First day of Starbucks opening really attracted many student customers. Though, student here in Taylor’s are really rich, it had been so many days since it’s open and everyday also has many people visiting it, but sadly not me. I am poor. Haha.

Baristas were busy and didn’t try to talk to them so I couldn’t tell there whether they are friendly or not but from their face, I think they are friendly. Haha.

Yeah, Starbucks Coffee in Taylor’s University. Rocks? I think so, when I have the money to drink a cup of it. =D
One of my favourite Starbucks Coffee’s drink is the Java Chip Blended Frappuccino with Whipped Cream on top. It’s so pretty, so delicious, so nice, so chilling to drink. Though the price is a little bit expensive.
I haven’t experiment on it yet. I was making myself a cup of chocolate drinks and think of making it as pretty as it is but I don’t have the ingredient, the only think I did was just blend it with ice. Later on, I went online and search for making something like a Java Chip Frappuccino and there’s really recipe on how to do it. I will go get the ingredient and make one for myself next time.
Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoon chocolate syrup
- 4 tablespoon chocolate chips
- 4 cups double-strength freshly brewed dark roast coffee
- Chopped or crushed ice
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Chocolate syrup (for drizzle, optional)
Steps:
- Get your blender and fill it about halfway with ice (either crushed or chopped).
- Pour the chocolate chips, chocolate syrup, and coffee into the blender.
- Turn on the blender to a medium or high speed. Try to get a thick, but icy mixture.
- Get four glasses and pour the mixture it them. Spray whipped cream on top of each one. Take the chocolate syrup (for your drizzling topping) and in a circular motion, drizzle some syrup on the whipped cream.
Note: This serves 4 big glasses, so you can share it with you friend.
Just a little bit sharing of my findings on the net. I’ll show when I get my lazy ass of the chair and get my hands on it. I love frappuccino!
Back in Hong Kong few months ago, I manage to make a visit to one of the Starbucks Coffee. I prefer Starbucks Coffee over Coffee Bean for its nice ice blended coffee and latte too. In Malaysia, people tends to go to Starbucks Coffee to get on the free wifi Internet connection which doesn’t available at Coffee Bean.
Sadly, there isn’t any free Wifi connection provided by Hong Kong’s Starbuck Coffee. Surprisingly, you will not find any Coffee Bean there. It’s just Starbucks Coffee and Pacific Coffee.
During a visit to Repulse Bay, I dropped by at the Starbucks Coffee to buy some food for myself. I did not buy any hot coffee, since we were in the move, I got myself a bottled Frappuccino coffee. I got to say that this is a nice cool drink, you can’t find it in Malaysia, yet or never. I don’t know about it.
Oops, I have forgotten to take down the name of this roll. It’s like an egg roll wrapping with cheese and ham. It taste good, but a little a bit expensive for something that small. Though, it’s just EAT-FOR-FUN. HA!
One thing, Starbucks Coffee outlet in Hong Kong is not as much as we had in Kuala Lumpur.
